Artist Workshop: Writing and Editing Artist Statements 101

Explore the basics of writing and editing artist statements that clearly communicate who you are and what you do to a broad range of audiences. Learn about the purpose of writing such a statement, the components of an effective one, and how to keep it updated on a regular basis. Time permitting, this hour-long workshop will include personalized feedback from the instructor.

Artists should bring a copy of their most recent artist statement and 2-4 images of works that represent their artistic practice.
