This iteration of the Salon will be an introduction to Grant and Residency Application writing hosted by Dr. Charlotte Kent. The grant and residency application process deters many because it involves so many documents and files. Understanding the expectations can help you put together a better application. This workshop will discuss what the component parts reveal about each applicant, how to present the project proposal, and why it takes so long to put it all together. In addition, we will discuss the importance of identifying which applications are appropriate for you.
The unofficial motto of French Enlightenment salons is politesse, civilité, honnêteté (politeness, civility, and honesty). The form is meant to be egalitarian with a horizontal distribution of power with a host who chooses guests and subject matter.
