Curated by Transcender founders Meer Musa and Sharilyn Neidhardt, "Grand Unity" is an art show that celebrates the power of creativity to heal, unite, and inspire. In a world often fragmented by cultural, political, and social differences, this exhibition brings together artists from diverse backgrounds to explore themes of empathy, connection, and shared humanity. The show is a testament to the belief that art can be a common language, fostering understanding and building bridges where walls once stood.

TRANSCENDER

NYAE is excited to announce the continuation of the artists’ critique group that originally ran in Bushwick and reprised at NYAE in fall 2023. Sessions will be presented in person at Equity Gallery, 245 Broome St. NYC. Sherilyn Neidhardt will be returning as the key host and point person for the series. The critique format will adhere to previous models whereby the artist narrates a 10-image, nine minute, PowerPoint presentation of their work to a live audience followed by a five minute audience Q&A. All media are welcome so long as works are clearly represented in still images.

How to apply

Interested participants need to send an email with a single paragraph artist statement and five – seven images to sharilyn.neidhardt@gmail.com with the subject line “transcender application”
