Angelica Maria Fuentes

Angelica Maria Fuentes is a New York-based artist, arts administrator, and emerging curator who serves as Program Manager at NYAE and Equity Gallery. In addition to managing NYAE’s Partnership Program, a Patron Membership offering educational events, opportunities, and other benefits to collectors, patrons, and supporters of the arts, she contributes to exhibition programming at Equity Gallery.

Fuentes received her B.A. in Art History, Theory, and Criticism from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) while working at Mandeville Art Gallery, a long-standing fixture on the UCSD campus with a decades-long history of presenting innovative art. In 2021, she completed her M.A. in Curatorial Practice at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Fuentes has since held roles in art administration and logistics, programming, development, grant making, communications, and curatorial research with organizations including Contemporary Conservation, The Queens Museum, VIA Art Fund, and the American Federation of Arts. She maintains her own practice as a ceramics artist working out of a community studio and arts non-profit in Brooklyn. Fuentes was selected as a recipient for the fall 2026 cohort at Can Silvestre, a multidisciplinary artist residency program based outside of Girona, Spain in the Catalan countryside.
